I hope that everybody had a fabulous Mother's Day! I had a great one with my mom, mom-in-law, cousins and aunt. My awesome husband got me flowers for being a dog mom. Kinda silly but I'll take it! I just love tiger lilies, they make the whole room smell amazing!
Well, I've totally been blowing the photo a day thing. I was afraid that would happen because May is such a busy month for me but it's been more because of being under the weather than anything. I usually thrive on being busy and it pushes me to be extra organized and productive. But the last couple of weeks I have been so drained its taken all I can do to just get the bare minimum done. I had a bunch of blood work done and it looks like I'm deficient in a couple of things so that may be the reason I'm feeling so low lately. I need to make more time for myself and make sure to eat better! (Story of my life...)
I think that I will still try to keep up with the photo a day challenge (click here for what I'm talking about). I had a cancellation last minute today and because of that I have almost the entire day to get caught up on editing photo shoots! (If you didn't know that I'm a photographer - I am! You can check out my photography page here if you like).
Oh, and by the way, the vase that my flowers are in is actually one of the leftover centerpieces from our wedding! Its a giant mason jar. We had tied twine around them with the table numbers and each had a candle inside. After the wedding was over I did get rid of a lot of the jars but I kept a handful of them for myself and some of them I painted like this one. I just took some green paint and brushed it all over kind of sloppy and after it dried I went over it with some fine sandpaper to give it a distressed look. I have a few others around the house as well and it's been a cool way to keep some of the decorations from our wedding and incorporate them into our home together!
